How do you position furniture correctly ?
There are a number of things that need to be considered. First and foremost are getting the dimensions correct. Mistakes are regularly made when pieces of furniture are purchased and once placed in situ are either too small or too large for the space - this is where accurate floor planning is critical, as many people waste a lot of money making this common mistake
Start with having an an accurate floor plan to scale then place all the recommended pieces in the areas on the floor plan to make sure it works in terms of size, comfort and traffic flow.
How did you become a high end, contemporary designer ?
My design style has always swayed in a contemporary, modern direction, starting with the homes I have lived in around the world, I have always liked the clean lines, open plan, stylish living spaces. As my skills and clientele progressed and evolved over time, it was only natural that clients with similar desires were drawn to my design direction, which featured on my socials and fortunately many referrals from previous clients
You tend to use a lot of "natures" colours and textures in your design - greens, blues, tans etc plus linen, suede, sone, marble accents etc - Why ?
Following on from the previous question, if my clients are looking for an open, contemporary, modern look
They tend to be also drawn to architecture that is similar, lots of glass, high ceilings, views, open plan living with an indoor/outdoor aspect. My goal is to internally enhance these aspects and bring the outdoors in, and the indoors out, so the entire property is in harmony with itself - therefore it makes send to bring natures colours and textures into the interior design to expand and be in unison with the outdoor aspects.
